Lauren Owen is a student in Mrs. Chung’s class at Woodsboro school. Her favorite series are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Pandora, The Iron Trial, The Guardians of Ga’ Hoole, The Wolves of the Beyond, The Maze Runner, Wings of Fire, Warriors, Survivors, Hunger Games, and The Heroes of Olympus. She loves to sing, act, read, and play soccer. She is singing with a professional teacher named Mrs. Huston, who helps her use her voice better. Another thing Lauren does is act. She is currently playing the part of the Queen of Hearts in the school play, Alice in Wonderland. She has read many books and would love to read more. One of the only things she likes to brag about is how many books she’s read. Lauren is commonly found holding a book, and doesn’t stop to talk to you most of the time. Her soccer team, Gryffindor, has recently moved to club, and, although they lost in the State Cup, their team has learned a lot from the three games they played. Last season, she was the team captain, but when she broke her clavicle in the middle of a game, she couldn’t play for at least 10 games. She is also learning more about computer coding, and has made a few websites. Lauren can’t wait for Kramer Shadow Day, where she is going to check out her future at Kramer Middle School. She also loves to write. She is in the middle of writing two books that she hopes will become actual novels once they are finished. One is about an underground facility where dead people who have woken up to go to live. The other is about a girl who owns the book of the universe. She also has a best friend who is captured by the enemy for leverage to gain the book of the universe, for reasons unknown. Clara must make a choice: the universe or her best friend. Lauren loves writing these stories, but hopes to find inspiration in her friends and family. Lauren’s favorite subjects are math and science, and social studies while studying about Greece and Rome. She is currently on the Woodsboro 6th grade Math Team. She loves to compete with other schools while exposing her math skills. Lauren loves Harry Potter so much, she signed up on the website, Pottermore, to further review the books’ events, duel with other houses, and brew potions. Lauren loves to answer questions, so don’t be afraid to ask her any!
