Hoverboards are becoming famous in America and now are known to be a fun way to get around.  Recently, hoverboards have been exploding because of their bad batteries. In Toys-R-Us, all hoverboards were taken off the shelves, because they are dangerous for children. The government is trying to take all uncertified hoverboards off the market. UL is a company that tests products for safety. The hoverboards have been dropped over and over from a meter height to see what would happen. Their batteries have also been poked with nails. Also, they have made the hoverboards run for seven hours straight with the wheel jammed to see if the hoverboard would catch on fire. Some hoverboards have fake UL certification stamps and have been poorly made, making the hazard of explosion more likely. So be careful when you buy a hoverboard, it could catch fire on you.
